Spring Break - part 1

Our journey started with dinner at Yoders in Montezuma. There is a small Amish/Mennonite community there. I loved the Amish as a little girl and I admire their tradition and simplicity as an adult, not to mention their domestic abilities. Those women can cook, bake, can, garden, sew, quilt, and more like no ones business. Our dinner was oh so good. We shopped in the gift shop and also in Yoders general store. The hot mix, blueberry jelly, and apple butter went so well with my WHO bread. (recipe to come) We had cookies from the bakery and they were by far the best peanut butter cookies I have ever had. I picked up a few treats and cookbook from the stores.
