Spring Break part 2

Camping

The boys loved the bumper beds. (as Matthew calls them) We opted for a cabin after all of the storms and tornado warnings last week. It was so cute and cozy. I could live there if it only had a bathroom. We had drawing and coloring supplies, beads, lots of books, Sorry & Clue, crossword puzzles, and cards to keep busy during the rain. And a little something for Mommy to enjoy while sitting at the lake. Great Blue Heron- We had fun checking off some new birds in our Georgia Birds book. There were SOOOO many turtles!

They visited with us several times a day.

Wonder why????

So cute!!!

GeeGee and Mike came to stay with us for the last two nights.
We had fun and a lot of laughs.

Camping is a great family activity and affordable vacation. There are things to explore and learn that your children would not experience at a hotel when you are going and doing. Everything is a group effort and children learn that simplicity can be a good thing. Show your children the beauty of nature. *Remember to be kind to our environment when you are camping by being responsible with your waste and using Earth friendly products including your dish liquid.* It was a good refresher this season to get ready for our Ohio trip in June. We are all excited about going. I have got to start putting my lists together soon. It's going to take some creative packing to fit everything for the entire eight days in the truck. I love a challenge.
